The Department of Higher Education, “Ministry of Human Resource Development”, “Government of India” has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards. But NTA is not admission giving authority.

The main motive of this examination is Candidates can take admission into Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTI) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTI) and other Institutions shall include the performance in the grade 12 equivalent to qualifying examination.

Around 12 lakhs candidates appeared in JEE main examination every year. Out of them around the top 2.5 lakhs, students have selected for JEE Advanced on the basis of his/her score as per criteria. Selected top 2.5 lakhs candidates will be eligible to apply for JEE Advance for taking admission into various undergraduate engineering programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

In 2019, JEE Mains went through some major changes. It started to be conducted twice a year instead of once. Students will have some benefits of the new pattern as bellow.

The most beneficial part of this pattern is there will be 2 attempt options. If any kind of reason student could not attempt the 1st Exam there will be a chance to attempt the 2nd Exam. If Students want to appear both the exam NTA allowed both of them.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2020

There is no Age Limit for appearing in the JEE (Main) 2020 examination for candidates.

Candidates who have passed 12

Through the JEE Main Candidates can take admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B. Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12thclass / qualifying examination.

JEE Main 2020 Result

JEE Main 2020 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can check JEE Main 2020 result/scorecard details. Candidates must enter their application number and password/date of birth. After the declaration of the JEE main result if candidates get qualify or eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced examination, then they will apply for the JEE Advanced examination.

In JEE Main 2020 January session total of 11,18,673 candidates has registered for the exam, out of which 9,21,261 candidates have registered for BE/B. Tech exam. Also, about 8,69,010 candidates appeared for the January session of JEE Main which was conducted from January 6 to 9 in 570 exam centers.

  • NTA will declare JEE Main 2020 for the respective (January/April) session on the official website we will notify you here also when official notification will be announced by NTA.
  • Along with the result, NTA has also released the list of candidates who have scored 100 percentile and JEE Main 2020 state toppers.


  • Candidates can check their result by inserting their details date of birth and (JEE roll number) roll number.
  • The result will be there, and the score will be available on the basis of their performance.
  • Candidates check their scorecard also in online mode it will be available with the JEE Main result.
  • The scorecard consists of name, category, roll number, date of birth, state code eligibility, category and nationality, subject-wise NTA scores, etc. The conducting authority will declare the JEE Main rank list for each category.
  • There will be two types of rank lists - All India Rank and Category Rank.
