About NSO Exam 2020

National Science Olympiad (NSO) is organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF Olympiad). The main motives of the NSO Exam 2020 to motivate the students to prepare them for higher-level competitive examination and their analytical and reasoning concepts in a competitive environment.  NSO has provided scholarship also to qualified/eligible students. NSO Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

NSO exam has two stages of the level. Students from class 1st to 12th Standard are eligible to appear for the 1st level NSO examination, whereas those students who qualify level 1 exam (from class 3 -12), qualify or Top 5% of students, class-wise who appear for the 1st level exam to sit for the level 2 exam.

NSO exam has conducted in English only for every class based on their respective syllabus as decided by Science Olympiad Foundation. Students from class 1st and 2nd are not required to appear for the 2nd level NSO exam as per SOF Eligibility criteria. Every student should know the

Level 2 is conducted for students of class 3 to class 12. The qualifiers to second round would include the following:

• At International Level: Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, who appear in the 1st level exam internationally.
• At Zone/State Level: Top 25 rank holders from each Zone and each class.
• At School Level: Class topper where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & score at least 50% qualifying marks.

NSO Exam 2020 Registration

Students can register for NSO examination from the schools which are registered with SOF organization. That particular registered school will collect the exam or NSO registration forms along with fees, and they (School) have to submit the forms along with fees to the SOF exam body. SOF has given to the date of registration and last date of submission forms to the schools. Registered schools have to submit all the details by the given last submission date from SOF.

SOF does not accept individual participation of the candidates form or below the number of candidates from school as per criteria by SOF.

After the NSO examination result will be declared within 8 weeks of the examination. It will be sent to the respective registered school. SOF also declares the result on its official website.
